And did you know?  Lake Minnetonka is Minnesota's 9th largest lake in the state.  It has 37 bays that "have names", 18 islands, over 125 miles of shoreline, and just over 14,500 acres in size.  Does that qualify as BIG?  We'd say so... It also provides a lot of prime habitat for all species of fish in Lake Minnetonka.

What's unique about Lake Minnetonka, MN, is the wide variety of fish species to target.  While there is an abundance of weeds in the lake, this also provides perfect spawning habitat for those little guys to hide as they grow.  It also is a good place to hang out if you're a predator fish.  You will find an abundance of largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, walleye, crappies, bluegills, pike, musky, and even a few more.  Our fishing reports on Lake Minnetonka will include them all, depending on the time of year.
