The bite is still going strong all over the lake lately.  We've been having success on a lot of species, too, just about being in the right place at the right time.  But a lot of bent rods lately, so nobody's complaining.

Here, clients had a triple earlier this week. The bass we are catching are in 12-15' thick weeds. We are throwing ned rigs and jigworms. The jigworms seem to be catching the bigger fish right now. The key is to work the bait slowly. Let the bait sit after you cast it and then slowly jig it back to the boat.  It's a lot of fun and good practice for beginner anglers.  The bass are in there, just have to entice them to come out of it all to bite.

We are still catching northern pike by trolling crankbaits in 14-20' of water. We are finding some nice-sized schools of fish now. While trolling, we are catching some bass and pumpkinseeds in the mix, as well. These pumpkinseeds are aggressive and hitting the bait hard.  But overall, trolling plugs have been productive this month.

It's a great time to fish right now. Let me know if you would like to get out and give it a try.
