Lake Minnetonka bass fishing report

April 25, 2026

Some great bass fishing.

This week I have been out on Lake Minnetonka Bass fishing. Let's just say it has been pretty darn good. We have caught them on wacky worm, swim baits and chatter baits. The fish we have caught have been in 2-6' of water.

On the cooler mornings slow things down. Soak that plastic worm. But if the sun is out, it doesn't take long and the bass get more active. Then just lift and drop the worm and they will come and eat it.

It's fun when you catch bass in shallow water because they have nowhere else to go but to the side or towards the boat.  If they are swimming towards the boat reel in fast to keep up with them. You don't want slack in your line because you may lose them if you do.

This time a year it's a must to have polarized sunglasses to sight fish. If you don't have them, you will be missing out on what everyone else is seeing. Today we seen some bass on beds but not many yet. But we did see a lot of nice muskies in the same area as the bass. Let me know if you want to get out on Lake Minnetonka and chase some bass.

The crappie fishing has started on Lake Minnetonka this week. I found them in 3-6' of water. I used gulp alive minnows and plastics under a bobber worked too.
