Mid June Minnetonka Reports from Set the Hook Guide Service
The weather around the Twin Cities region of Minnesota sure has changed from last week. The weather went from upper 80's for highs to 60's. And the water temp has dropped from 76-79 to 69- 70 degrees now. Has it affected the bite? Not really, the fish are still biting good. Here is my report for mid-June on Lake Minnetonka.

For bass fishing, we have had to slow down and let the bait sit to get more bites. They are still hitting the ned rigs and jig worm in 10-14' along the weeds. Patience pays off right now with the funky weather going on. When the water temps drop, you simply have to play by their rules.
The pike fishing on Lake Minnetonka still remains solid and consistent. We're catching good numbers of fish right now trolling crankbaits in 14'- 18' alone the weed edges.
We haven't targeted any walleye or panfish this week. But we are catching some nice size crappies and pumpkin seeds mixed in while fishing bass with plastics. Always a nice surpise.
Its a great time of year to put numbers of fish in the boat. Give me a call if you'd like to spend a day on the water. We're situated very close to the Twin Cites (Minneapolis - St. Paul) area.
