Pike time.
Even if it does feel like summer is back, the fish are moving into shallow water. We are seeing minnows are hopping on top of the water. And the pike, bass and musky are not far away. This last week we have been mostly catching pike with spinnerbaits in anywhere from 8-19' of water. We are also catching a few bass and musky in the same area. Once the water temp starts to cool back down there will be even more fish moving in. It's a fun time to watch these fish come smack the baits.
With the cooler weather comes cooler water temps, and that gets the fish going. On our recent guided trips, we've had consistent pike and bass fishing action.
