Schooling Bass
This last week we have been seeing the bass schooling up. On one of my trips my clients caught 20 bass in one location. The grandpa caught 3 bass in 3 casts. They seem to be in or near the thick weed cover. The Ned rig has still been the best bait. We are still catching a few pike on the deeper drop offs.
The crappie fishing on Lake Minnetonka was good today on plastics when the slight breeze was blowing. The water is warming up, and the crappies are getting active.
The crappie fishing has started on Lake Minnetonka this week. I found them in 3-6' of water. I used gulp alive minnows and plastics under a bobber worked too.
The ice is now off of Lake Minnetonka and the open water fishing season has begun. Get your fishing rods ready to target them hungry crappies on the warmer days.
